Wednesday, March 2nd

6 pm: Eunice Community Health Clinic Benefit featuring Marc & Ann Savoy, $30 per couple, LSU-E, Eunice

6 pm: Jamie Bergeron & Cajun Tradition, D.I.'s Cajun Restaurant, Iota

Thursday, March 3rd

6 - 7 pm: Zydeco Ballers Dance Program, dance lessons, Civic Center, Opelousas

6 pm: Homer LeJeune & the Zydeco Kings, D.I.'s Cajun Restaurant, Iota

 

Friday, March 4th


2 pm- until: Check-in; Try a piece of king cake; visit with friends; jam session; get the scoop on events*

Make sure to include a visit to the Cajun Music Hall of Fame and the Eunice Depot Museum featuring a special Mardi Gras exhibit!

6 pm-10:00 pm: D.I.'s Cajun Restaurant for the Tee Mamou-Iota Courir & Howard Noel Cajun Boogie

7—11pm: D.J. Music at Dugout Bar on 2nd Street, Eunice

5:30—9:30 pm: Church Point Gumbo Cook-off; Parc de Depot, Eternal Sound (Swamp Pop), followed by Bradley Venable & Kick-Back (Cajun), Church Point

8 pm: Warren Storm & Willie Tee (Swamp Pop), Evangeline Downs, Opelousas

8 pm—12 pm: Jason Frey, & later Paul Daigle & Cajun Gold; Lakeview Barn, cover charge $12 for both**

9 pm: Travis Matte & the Zydeco Kingpins, Nick's on 2nd, Eunice

 

Saturday, March 5th

7:00-10:00 am: Continental breakfast including: coffee, milk, juice, boudin, doughnuts, fruit and cereal*

8:30 - 11:30 am: Joe Hall and The Louisiana Cane Cutters, Cafe des Amis, Breaux Bridge

9 am -12 pm: Jam Session (Savoy Music Ctr.; free)

9 am – 1pm: Fred’s Lounge, Mamou

10:30 am: Jam Session with Jeff Thibodeaux; S 2nd & Walnut, Eunice

11 am: Wallace Trahan & the Cazan Playboys, Hotel Cazan, Mamou

LeJeune Cove Mardi Gras

11:30-12:30 pm: lunch stop for Eunice Le Jeune Mardi Gras at L'Acadie Inn & RV Park; catch some beads from the "young" carrying on the Cajun traditions & watch them chase some chickens!

1:30-5 pm: crawfish boil & gumbo with jam session (featuring local musicians) on the patio*

2 pm: Fred Charlie & Acadiana Cajuns; S 2nd & Walnut, Eunice

3 pm: Le Jeune Mardi Gras Run comes in; Eunice

3 pm: Music Program; Jean Lafitte Prairie Acadian Center, Eunice

4 pm: Cooking Demonstration; Jean Lafitte Prairie Acadian Center, Eunice

5-7:30 pm: Paul Daigle & his Family Band, Church Point

6:30 pm: Eunice Liberty Theatre-live radio show featuring a special Mardi Gras program; music provided by Low Maintenance; or check-out Bubba Frey's Restaurant for live music and good food

6 pm—10 pm: D.I.'s Cajun Restaurant for the Tee Mamou-Iota Courir & Briggs Brown Bayou Cajuns

7:30 pm: Eunice Street Dance with Cypress City Band;
S 2nd and Walnut, Eunice

8pm –12am: Lakeview Park Barn Dance with the Redstick Ramblers, and later Jesse Lege and the Pine Leaf Boys; $12 cover for both**

8pm—10:30pm: Geno Delafosse & French Rockin’ Boogie; Parc de Depot, Church Point

Sunday, March 6th

8 am: watch the L'Anse Maigre Mardi Gras run depart - Lakeview Park; gumbo & dance to follow (tentative) Band TBA

10 am: Boucherie, downtown Eunice; Arts & Crafts & Food

11 am—2pm: Chubby Carrier; Parc de Depot, Church Point

11:30-3 pm: Sean Vidrine & da' Classics with Charlo; Park Ave Stage, Eunice

12- 3 pm: Harry Young & C.O.D.; S 2nd & Walnut, Eunice

3 pm: Children's Courir de Mardi Gras parade, Eunice

2—5 pm: Jason Frey and Lagniappe; Parc de Depot, Church Point

8 pm -12 am: Lakeview Barn Dance with Kyle Huval, then later Joel Savoy & Jesse Lege, $12 cover for both**

 

Monday, March 7th


7:00 -9:30 am: Full hot breakfast: coffee, milk, juice, eggs, "Donald Mac's grits gravy", sausage, and biscuits with butter or margarine, pancakes*

10 am: Jam Session hosted by Beth Fogleman; S 2nd & Walnut, Eunice

Soileau Mardi Gras

12pm: Mardi Gras Slide Show Presentation with host Barry Ancelet; Prairie Acadian Cultural Center

1—3 pm:Council on Aging Mardi Gras Dance, Northwest Community Center, Eunice $5 admission

2- 5 pm: Peppy Carmello & Friends at the Street Dance, Eunice

2—6 pm: Ray Abshire, Fred’s Lounge, Mamou

1 pm-5 pm: Traditional Lakeview-L’Acadie Boucherie at Lakeview Park*

8 pm-12 am: Lakeview Park Barn Dance with the Ryan Brunet & the Malfacteurs; and later Horace Trahan & Ossun Express, $12 cover for both**

5 pm: Geno Delafosse & French Rockin' Boogie, music stage, Mamou

6pm—10pm: Al Roger Louisiana Pride; D.I.’s Cajun Restaurant, Basile

7 pm: Nick's on 2nd Cajun Dance; Don Fontenot, Eunice

7:30-11:30 pm: Street Dance with music by Bernie Allen Variety Music; S 2nd & Walnut, Eunice

There will be NO street dance this year in Mamou!

 

Tuesday, March 8th


6:30 -8:00 am: Continental breakfast served in lobby*

7-8 am: Faquetigue Courir de Mardi Gras meet for rules if you're participating; wear traditional costumes; no beads; bring your own drinks & snacks ($15 entry fee includes gumbo and band at the end of Courir)

9 am: Watch the Faquetigue Courir from a neighbor's; be sure to bring your cameras to capture the chicken chase(s) (other stops maybe a guinea or rooster, duck or goose) and bring your nickels for the "cinq sous" dancing and riders*

9:30 am: St. Joseph's Choir, Iota

10 am: Don Fontenot & Les Amies de la Louisianne; Main Stage, Park Ave, Eunice

10 am: Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band, Iota

11 am: Donnie Broussard, Nick's on 2nd, Eunice

12:15 pm: Tepetate, Iota Mardi Gras

12:45 pm: Paul Daigle & Cajun Gold; Main Stage, Park Ave, Eunice

12-3 pm: Ronnie Matthews & Throwdown; S 2nd & Walnut, Eunice

2-3 pm: Gumbo & dance wrapping up the Faquetigue Courir ($15 fee for band & gumbo); music provided by Joel Savoy & Jesse Lege

3 pm: Mardi Gras parade through downtown Eunice

4-6 pm: Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys; Main Stage, Park Ave, Eunice

6pm: Geno Delafosse & French Rockin Boogie; Nick’s on 2nd, Eunice

6pm—10pm: Scotty Pousson Pointe aux Loups Playboys; D.I.’s Cajun Restaurant, Basile

 

Wednesday, March 9th


7:00 - 10:00 am: Continental breakfast served in lobby *

If you are Catholic and would like to attend a local Ash Wednesday mass, please ask. We will be happy to provide mass times.

6:30 - 8:30 pm: Cajun Fiddle Class with Henry Hample, Tom's Fiddle and Bow, Arnaudville, $15

7 - 9 pm: Phillip Gould with Rio Luminoso, Cafe des Amis, Breaux Bridge

*Please note that inn activities & meals are for 2 registered guests per room/site unless otherwise noted. Additional guest fees are as follows: crawfish boil, gumbo, Lakeview-L’Acadie boucherie: $20 per person; full breakfast: $5 per person. If you have a reservation and have further questions, please feel free to contact us.
